Camille Pissarro Eugene Murer at His Pastry Oven, 1877. Pastel, private collection. I’m fascinated by this piece. Just in the use of colour and the high contrast alone, it’s so different from what he was doing at that time.This pastel is a brilliant example of Pissarro’s immense talent, his vivid creativity, and his constant search for diverse ways of expression.   ✌
